The progression of Worshipful Masters often seems to pass in the blink of an eye. For Matthew Jennings, this has certainly been the case.
Having only recently completed his year as Worshipful Master of Staines St Mary’s Lodge, he was quickly called once again to the Chair—this time at Royal Hanover Lodge. Following his joining as a member, it became evident that his experience and commitment would be of immediate value, and he was duly installed as Worshipful Master.

W Bro Jennings’ dedication has been clear for some time. His consistent attendance at Lodge of Instruction, combined with a confident and precise delivery of ritual, did not go unnoticed by the Brethren. When the opportunity arose, he was both willing and well-prepared to take on the responsibility.

Beyond his work in the Temple, W Bro Jennings brings practical value to the Lodge. Through his printing business, and in collaboration with W Bro David North, Royal Hanover Lodge benefits from professionally produced summons and dining materials that are widely regarded as among the best presented in the Province. These details contribute meaningfully to the overall experience for both members and visitors.
Equally, he is a sociable Mason who understands the importance of fellowship. Plans are already in discussion for a Ladies’ Weekend and other social events, alongside preparations for the Lodge’s forthcoming 150th Anniversary. It promises to be a full and active year.
The Lodge also looks forward to welcoming two new initiates at the March and May meetings—further strengthening its membership. Continued support for recruitment and mentoring remains essential, ensuring that the standards and traditions of Royal Hanover Lodge are maintained.
The Brethren extend their best wishes to W Bro Jennings and his Officers for a successful and productive year in office.
