Royal Hanover Lodge where delighted to finally initiate Matt Gurmin on the 30th July 2021. He had been waiting for a very long time to start his journey. The moment Covid restrictions where lifted, we decided to schedule an extra meeting, requiring dispension from the Middlesex Province, which was thankfully granted immediately.
Brother Matt had been waiting since mid 2019 when he first reached out to us via our Website, but as the pandemic kicked in, plans for his initiation had to be shelved. To Matt’s credit, he became a regular social member of Lodge of Instruction evenings down at Cole Court and our Zoom meetings when full lock down stopped us meeting up socially. Even when Rule of 6 was announced for meeting outside, he made regular visits.
Initiating Matt after getting to know him so well, made the meeting even more meaningful, as many commented that we already felt he was a fellow brother.
Worshipful Master Colin was supported by W.Bro Mike Ross who delivered a brilliant initiation which made for a very successful extra meeting.

The meeting was conducted in Temple 2 of Cole Court in Twickenham, with many members being present for this extra meeting.

Brother Matt is already proving his worth by getting involved with all the social events we have as an active Lodge, but also creating friendships with many of the lodge members.
All members of Royal Hanover Lodge congratulate Matt on taking his first step in Freemasonry and we look forward to seeing him progress.
