Its a busy Friday – a Raising, Double 1st, Joiners and Champayne – Tyled at 3pm and this is what happened.

Its Friday 22nd January 2016 and Royal Hanover embarked on a packed out meeting with plenty to talk about and giving a great start to 2016.

We tyled at 3pm and started with the completion of investing officers for this coming year with our Worshipful Master Lawrie Hawkins. We then had a successful ballot for joining members Brother Leandro Ulisse, proposed by Brother David North and Brother James Nicholls proposed by W.Brother Micheal Ross. Both members were presented with 2020 Festival Provincial Grand Lodge of Middlesex ties.

Brother Colm Trainer was then Raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason, so congratulations to Brother Colm. A short call from labour to refreshment for a cup of tea and sandwiches to fuel us for the next part of this great day.

The Lodge was reopened and a ballot for two new initiates was conducted for Oliver Kingham proposed by his father W.Brother Peter H-Kingham and Micheal Smith proposed by W.Brother Peter H-Kingham as these two gentlemen are long-standing friends. W.Brother Peter H-Kingham conducted the ceremony from the Worshipful Master Chair, and after the successful ballot, both were initiated into Freemasonry and are proudly on their journey into Freemasonry.

Additionally, two prospect details had their details readout for the potential in joining Royal Hanover Lodge in our next meeting in March.

The festive board at 7.30pm and this was made even more enjoyable with the addition of Champagne in the celebration by W.Brother Peter H-Kingham seeing his son and best friend join Royal Hanover Lodge. We also had the honour of celebrating W.Brother Derek Fifield’s birthday, which was toasted with magnificent bottles of port which went down very well with all present.

So two new members balloted and joined, one 3rd Degree Raising, two new Initiates balloted and initiated into Freemasonry, and two new prospects for membership readout for potential joining in March. And a great festive board, now that's a busy Friday and proud to be been part of it.
